Leaders In Training Sports and Social Justice Program
Leaders In Training Sports and Social Justice Program

Leaders In Sports was created in 2017, after Eugene Pough, an alum from John Bartram High Schools decided to dedicate a youth development program strictly to assist at-risk and underserved youth in Philadelphia.

The "LIT Sports Program" is a organization that was founded to empower and mentor Philadelphia youth ages 14 to 18, attending Philadelphia high schools. The founder, a Philadelphia native and public school graduates, knew first hand the benefit and discipline mentoring provided for his life as a teenager. He created a program which enables youth to constructively channel their aggression; while growing and developing their knowledge and skills in the areas of sport journalism, sport photography, sport management, career and skill assessment, planning and interpersonal relationships.
