Leaders In Training Sports Mentoring Program
Leaders In Training Sports Mentoring Program

Leaders In Sports was created in 2017, after two alums from John Bartram and Saul High Schools decided to dedicate a sports and mentoring strictly to assist at-risk and underserved African American male youth in Philadelphia.

The "LIT Sports Program" is a organization that was founded to empower and mentor African American male youth ages 11 to 18, attending Philadelphia middle and high schools. The founders, Philadelphia natives and public school graduates, knew first hand the benefit and discipline mentoring provided for their lives as teenagers. They created a program which enables youth to constructively channel their aggression; while growing and developing their knowledge and skills in the areas of sport journalism, sport photography, sport management, career and skill assessment, planning and interpersonal relationships.
